I am the proud founder of Playful Elegance, a female veteran-owned company that brings a distinct blend of corporate professionalism and heartfelt hospitality to every event. For several years, I have specialized in providing company lunch tea parties, watching teams discover the calming and uplifting qualities of tea. With 40 years of experience in the corporate world, mainly in healthcare and biotech, I know the pace can be hectic. That’s why I started hosting tea events: I wanted to create moments of peace and connection in demanding office settings.
I have always loved the details that go into preparing a memorable tea experience. My passion began 20 years ago when I started hosting family tea parties, traveling from San Francisco to Chicago with suitcases of teaware for our annual reunions. It felt like planning a wedding each year. Even though it was challenging, I saw how hats, tiaras, and fun activities brought people closer together. I then realized I could offer the same personalized touch to businesses.
Over time, I began hosting office tea parties for birthdays, Admin Days, holidays, and other special celebrations. When I decided to retire from facility management and construction, I turned my attention to traveling with tea for corporate gatherings. Men and women alike enjoy dressing up, taking selfies, and savoring the sweet and savory treats we prepare.
My latest venture is offering team building facilitation along with tea service. I believe that creativity and relaxation can improve collaboration and spark new ideas. By combining my corporate background, event-hosting experience, and love of tea, I have found a way to enrich workplace culture in a truly unique way.
